Are you ready for a huge cigar launch about to take place in the UK? I don’t recall there being such an extravaganza taking place with the launch of the new cigar, but to be fair I haven’t been across the cigar scene as long as some folk…

Hunters & Frankau recently announced on their website at cigars.co.uk that they are planning to launch the new Por Larrañaga Larrañaga 47 cigar on November 1st at 47 simultaneous events across the UK, this launch promises to be a grand celebration of the esteemed cigar brand’s rich heritage and exceptional craftsmanship.

Hosted at select specialist Havana cigar retailers and hospitality venues, the synchronised events will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to capture the essence of the evening through social media posts, using the designated hashtag #PL47launch to join in the buzz and excitement.

The event will commence with a special video introduction of the Larrañaga 47 by Jemma Freeman, the Executive Chairman of Hunters & Frankau, and José Antonio Cejas Diaz, the Hunters & Frankau Corporate Director. As the evening progresses, guests will be invited to indulge in the sensory pleasures of the occasion, lighting their cigars and savoring the complementary flavours of Hine Cigar Reserve Cognac, adding an extra layer of luxury to the affair.

Established in 1834, Por Larrañaga holds the distinction of being the oldest Cuban cigar brand still in production. Renowned for its light to medium-bodied blend, the brand has long held a special place in the hearts of UK cigar enthusiasts.

The Por Larrañaga Larrañaga 47 boasts dimensions of 7” (178mm) x 47 ring gauge, commonly known as the “Churchill” size, paying homage to its historical significance. Encased in Semi Boîte Nature boxes of fifty cigars, the release uniquely features an old papeleta from the brand, enhancing its classic appeal. Limited to just 1,500 boxes, totaling 75,000 cigars, this exclusive collection will be made available the following day, exclusively in the UK, from the network of Las Casas del Habano, Havana Cigar Specialists, and selected hospitality venues.

Crafted meticulously using long-filler tobacco leaves harvested from the renowned Pinar del Rio region of Cuba, each Por Larrañaga cigar embodies a legacy of unparalleled quality and artisanship.
