Last October, you may remember the blog post about Conor McGregor’s new venture into the cigar industry with Notorious Cigars. Well, more details about the product and its upcoming release have started to surface. Here’s everything you need to know.

If you missed the original post, Conor McGregor—Irish MMA star and former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion—never one to limit himself to dominating the octagon or selling whiskey, is now set to make a mark in the premium cigar market.

Introducing Notorious Cigars, with the tagline, “Notorious Cigars aren’t for everyone; they’re for the ones who’ve earned them.” Created in the Dominican Republic, Notorious Cigars offers a premium selection curated for champions.

It appears that Miguel Frias, associated with M.J. Frias Cigars (established in 1991) and House Blends Direct LLC, may have played a pivotal role in the creation of this cigar. Miguel is one of the 18 accounts followed by the Notorious Cigars Instagram account.

Frias, who also collaborates with Slapwoods—a brand that specialises in natural tobacco wraps—brings his expertise from the Dominican Republic and Florida.

His businesses focus on delivering high-quality, affordable smoking experiences, and showcases his extensive industry knowledge and Dominican roots.

From the box design, it seems the Notorious Cigar will be a Toro size (6×50). Each cigar is aged for at least three years, triple-checked for quality, and hand-rolled.

The blend details sound impressive:

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano 2000 Rosado Oscura (aged for 4 years) – Provides a deep, earthy profile with a touch of natural sweetness and just the right amount of spice.

Binder: San Andrés Mexican – Offers rich and bold flavors, with smooth notes of dark cocoa and espresso.

Filler: A powerful mix of Nicaraguan Corojo, Dominican Criollo 98, and Dominican Piloto Cubano, creating a rich and complex flavor with a serious kick.

Expect flavour notes that include white pepper, cedar, earthy undertones, espresso, toasted nuts, dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a caramelised nuttiness.

How to get your hands on them…

The Notorious Cigar appears to be primarily targeting the U.S. market, with pre-orders expected to open soon at $140 per box, likely containing 10 cigars. Shipments are anticipated between mid-to-late April, with a limit of five boxes per customer. Discussions are also underway with some UK distributors about potentially carrying the product, and some retailers across the U.S. will be stocking the brand as well.
