According to Ajay Patel of No. 6 Cavendish, speaking on a recent episode of “2 Old Farts Making Noise”, Hunters & Frankau—the UK’s Cuban cigar distributor—has confirmed that the long-awaited H. Upmann Magnum Finite Limited Edition 2024 will finally reach cigar shops in the UK as early as Monday!

The Magnum Finite was first introduced at the Habanos Festival in 2024, the same year the Trinidad Capildos was announced. As is often the case, it has taken a couple of years to reach UK shores. For example, we eagerly await the Ramón Allones Absolutos from 2024, as well as newer releases from 2025, such as the Romeo y Julieta Cupidos.
Spain received their Magnum Finite in October 2024 through Tabacalera, S.L.U. and the Club Pasión Habanos at an exclusive event held at the famous Las Ventas bullring in Madrid.
The cigar

- Name: Magnum Finite
- Vitola: Singulares
- Length: 5 1/8 inches (130mm)
- Ring gauge: 53
- Strength: Light to medium, true to H. Upmann’s style
- Profile: Earthy base with spice, sweetness, and nutty, woody notes
This shorter, wider format is expected to deliver a cooler draw and gradual flavour development. Like all Edición Limitada cigars, it uses tobaccos aged for at least two years, with filler, binder, and wrapper sourced from Cuba’s famed Vuelta Abajo region. Rolled “tripa larga, totalmente a mano” (long filler, handmade), the cigar also features a darker wrapper that should add a subtle sweetness.
The Magnum Finite continues H. Upmann’s celebrated Magnum series, following previous Edición Limitada releases:
- Magnum 50 (2005)
- Magnum 48 (2009)
- Robusto (2012)
- Magnum 56 (2015)
- Propios (2018)
Each cigar is presented in a special wood box of 25, with red and grey accents and a secondary band identifying the vitola. Production numbers remain undisclosed.

A bit about the brands history
Founded in the 1840s by German banker Hermann Upmann, the brand quickly earned international acclaim, winning numerous exhibition awards in the late 19th century. Ownership passed through several hands, including Menéndez y García (creators of Montecristo), before the Cuban Revolution led to nationalisation.
Cost
UK retailers have already begun listing the Magnum Finite, with prices varying:
The average single cigar price appears to be around £57.
Reviews

One more thing…
Adding to the excitement, rumours are circulating about a new Hunters & Frankau regional edition cigar dedicated to Simon Chase—the late industry icon credited with securing cigar sampling rights in UK shops and lounges after the 2007 smoking ban. Its not clear when that one would be due for release of if that rumour is true.
