A rare Cuban cigar made only for Ireland will be sold in the UK for the first time. The official UK launch will take place in central London.

The Punch Néctares No. 50 is the first Habanos Regional Edition ever made only for Ireland. It was available only in Ireland for six months. From February, UK customers will also be able to buy it.

Sales will begin with a launch event on Thursday 5 February 2026 at James J. Fox on St James’s Street, London. Surrey Cigars will also host a separate launch event for the cigar.

This will be the first time the cigar is sold in the UK. Both events mark its official arrival on the UK market.

A historic cigar name returns

The cigar is fully handmade in Cuba. It is made using long filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, which is known as the best tobacco-growing area in the world.

The cigar is a Magnum 50 size. It brings back the old Néctares name, which was popular with cigar smokers in Dublin and London in the past. Only 1,400 numbered boxes have been made, with 50 cigars in each box, so it is very limited.

Whiskey pairing and speakers

The London launch event will include a pairing with special Irish whiskies. These are Pot Still and Single Grain whiskies made in Dublin for the London retailer.

Guests will hear from Rob Fox and Yiorgos Manesis, who were closely involved in creating the cigar and the whisky.

Growing interest outside Ireland
