This afternoon, Habanos S.A. announced that London will host a major event celebrating the 60th anniversary of Cuba’s iconic Cohiba cigar brand on 7 October, following the cancellation of this year’s Habanos Festival.

The event will mark the global launch of the Cohiba Talismán, the newest addition to the brand’s Classic Line, as part of an international programme celebrating six decades of the prestigious cigar maker. The announcement comes after organisers confirmed that the 26th Habano Festival — Cuba’s annual cigar festival and a major gathering for cigar enthusiasts, distributors and industry figures — will not take place this year, following its postponement earlier in the year.
Organisers said the decision was made to protect the quality and reputation of the event, which has become one of the world’s leading celebrations of premium cigars.
They added that the Cohiba anniversary celebrations would continue with further events and announcements planned in the coming months.
