Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has visited two of London’s best-known cigar shops while in the capital to promote his new memoir, The Steps.
The Rocky, Rambo and Tulsa King star visited Sautter’s of Mount Street in Mayfair on Saturday, 3 October, where he stopped to pick up cigars.
Stallone is in London as part of the UK publicity tour for his memoir and has appeared on The Chris Evans Show with Moneybox and The Graham Norton Show in recent days. An interview with podcaster Jay Shetty was also released on Spotify earlier this week.
His visit to Sautter’s was captured in a photograph with Magali de la Cruz, the shop’s longest-serving manager.

Originally from Cuba, de la Cruz grew up around tobacco and has worked in the UK cigar trade for many years. Her previous roles include positions at Heathrow duty-free, J.J. Fox and the former Dunhill store on Jermyn Street. She is particularly known for her knowledge of Cuban cigars and also runs cigar-training sessions at Sautter’s.
Stallone visits Davidoff of London
Stallone also visited Davidoff of London earlier on Saturday, where he met Edward Sahakian and Joe Berg, who works at the store.

The visit provided another stop on the actor’s London itinerary and brought him to one of the capital’s long-established cigar destinations.

Stallone’s interest in cigars has been well documented over the years. He has appeared in Cigar Aficionado on several occasions, including a 1998 interview in which he named Fuente Fuente OpusX among his favourites and spoke of his fondness for Fuente cigars.

His visits come shortly after fellow Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen at Davidoff of London during his own visit to the capital.

Stallone’s London visit continues on Saturday evening with a sold-out appearance at Central Hall Westminster, where he will be joined by Jonathan Ross for an 80-minute conversation about his life, career and memoir.
Ross was named Cigar Smoker of the Year in 2015 at Boisdale.

While cigars may not have featured on the official itinerary, the actor’s visits to Sautter’s and Davidoff of London have ensured they have played a part in his time in the capital.
