City of London Cigars Pop-Up at London Concours

If you’re into your cars and cigars, get yourself over to London Concours over the next couple of days.

I popped along on Tuesday evening to the beautiful grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company in the heart of the City of London. With more than 130 incredible cars on display and a relaxed garden-party atmosphere, it’s a brilliant way to spend a summer evening. The event runs until Thursday and is well worth a visit.

One of the highlights was the pop-up cigar lounge terrace created by the team from City of London Cigars.

Nav, Raj, and Dia have carved out a welcoming little oasis among some of the world’s most desirable cars, bringing cigar culture to an event that attracts people who appreciate craftsmanship, heritage, and luxury experiences.

Their terrace offers a selection of both Cuban and New World cigars, along with accessories from brands such as S.T. Dupont.

It was also great to bump into Jerry from Stone Marketing, who I mentioned in yesterday’s post about the new Cohiba 60 Collection range that has just dropped from S.T Dupont.

They even had the Davidoff Oro on display — the first time I’ve seen one in person — with a price tag of around £600 per cigar.

The pop-up space has three wooden tables, each seating around four to five people.

I settled into the terrace lounge and enjoyed one of the newer custom-made City of London Cigars: Holborn Series – Maduro cigars. It was a pleasant smoke: sweet and spicy with fresh floral notes, medium to full-bodied.

Paired perfectly with a couple of exceptional whiskies from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

The first was The Perfumer’s Delight, a 12-year-old Islay single malt, while the second was A Silver Darling, a special limited-release single malt created to commemorate the 25th birthday of Greville Street.

Both were excellent, limited-edition drams and made ideal companions to the cigar as the evening sun dropped behind the City skyline.

As the sun lowered, it felt like the perfect setting to relax, enjoy good company, and catch up with familiar faces, including Amy from UK Aficionadas.

I’ll admit I felt slightly out of place among some of the serious car enthusiasts — I don’t even drive — but I could still appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of the vehicles.

My highlights were the older cars, particularly those wearing period racing liveries with original sponsor branding. Their history and character are impossible not to admire.

What surprised me most was how enjoyable the whole experience was. Even a short visit from 5 pm to 8 pm was enough to explore the displays, enjoy a cigar, sip a drink, and hang out with awesome people.

Whether you’re a dedicated petrolhead, a cigar enthusiast, or simply looking for something different to do in London, there’s something here for everyone. Tickets come in various formats, including day (£65) and afternoon passes, making it easy to fit a visit around work or other commitments.

Most importantly, City of London Cigars added a warm, social element to the event, and I hope we see them at more lifestyle and luxury gatherings in the future 🙌.
