A new cigar lounge specialising in Havana cigars opens today, 15th September 2026, at St James’ Court, A Taj Hotel, in Westminster.
Edmundos London, owned by Omar Khan, is opening the new lounge at the hotel on Buckingham Gate following a soft launch.
Omar has been teasing details of the new venue on his social media over the past couple of weeks, building anticipation ahead of today’s opening.
I got a sneaky peak inside during the soft launch last month. At the time, there was still some work to be completed, including the ventilation and humidors, but the lounge itself was already taking shape as an intimate space tucked just behind the 1897 hotel bar.
The new venue is the latest addition to Omar’s growing cigar business. Edmundos already has a shop and lounge at 823 Fulham Road, where it has established itself as a Havana Cigar Specialist, offering Cuban cigars alongside facilities for customers to sample them on site.
The St James’s Court lounge brings Edmundos into central London and offers a selection of Havana cigars for both experienced smokers and those looking to discover Cuban cigars.
The initial selection includes the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill, Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona, Ramón Allones Specially Selected, Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Río Seco, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 and Montecristo No. 2.
A further selected Havana cigar will also be available.
As the lounge develops, Edmundos plans to expand its cigar selection, with the aim of eventually offering more than 100 different Havana cigars across all 27 Habanos brands.
The lounge is located within the Victorian hotel, which features the Shakespearean Courtyard and is close to St James’s and Westminster.
