The Garden Room at The Lanesborough has reopened following a full refurbishment by London design studio 1508 London, bringing the hotel’s cigar and whisky experience back to its original spot at the hotel in Hyde Park Corner.

The redesigned space features a bespoke walk-in humidor supplied by DeArt (who made the original one in 2009), housing an extensive Habanos collection, alongside a dedicated bar serving rare whiskies, Cognacs, rums and cocktails. Hotel Designs has published further details of the refurbishment here.
Yeni Momblan, the hotel’s Head of Cigars, continues to lead the cigar offering, with food from Executive Chef Shay Cooper adding another dimension to the experience. The hotel has also highlighted the presence of a full kitchen behind the cigar bar, allowing food to be served alongside its extensive cigar and drinks selection.

The reopening brings the temporary pop-up, which operated elsewhere in the hotel during the refurbishment, to a close. I visited the pop-up earlier this year and covered its launch in my previous article. With the cigar experience now back in its original home, it’s a welcome return to a lounge I first visited back in 2021.
The new interiors look promising, and I’m hoping to revisit soon to experience the refurbished Garden Room for myself.
